How to reach Todey-Tangta, Jaldhaka.

TODEY-TANGTA 2022 THE MOST BEAUTIFUL VILLEGES IN KALIMPONG.


TODEY- TANGTA, the most beautiful two villeges located in Kalimpong district and attached with the dragon kingdom of Bhutan. The most beautiful tiny villeges are famous for world renown large cardamom ( locally known as BHARLANG) production. It is believed that these two villeges are the first settlement of the Jaldhaka region.And it is actually proved that the mondol's (head of the villege are choosen by the local people of the villege) sixth generation are still used to live in this villege. and the churches around here are almost one hundred and fifty years old. And another major attraction is Tangta bhutia monastery, is known as the last monastery of India which located very near to chinese border and the kingdom of bhutan.


Todey villege has a small market to fulfill the local's necessities. It is also famous for it's wonderful climate, almost chilled at all time, that is why it attracts many tourist now a days. The place is also known for organic vegetable in all season. Beside this Todey-Tangta produces many natural resources such as Broomsticks, maze, millet, ginger and many others. Cow milk pure butter is one of the best product it produces.


Todey has developed many more places to visit for sightseeing. And these very days there are two new tourist destinationT has came up. They are Pala & Pumsi, the beautiful villeges are situated at a beautiful hilltop of above Todey bazar. One can see the magnificent view of entire Nathula ranges and the hill of Bhutan. Pala and Pumsi villeges has become more popular in no time because of it's serene beauty and the services they are providing to their guests. There are many organizers at Todey to provide tent services at the riverside with all the food arrangements. 


 Providing exact information about how to get there : 

nearest railway station : New Mal Railway Station, distance 67 Kilometers. time ; 1hour 45minutes.

                                       New Jalpaiguri Station to Todey : 120 kilometers. Time : 3hours

nearest airport               : Bagdogra airport to Todey :  126 kilometers, Time 3hours 15 minutes

There are buses and the small sawari jeeps are available from siliguri, Mal bazar and Chalsa. If you want to catch the bus from Siliguri, you have to catch from North bengal state transport corporation/s depot from Mallaguri. There are two buses leaves from here, one leaves at 7 a.m.  and other one leaves at 1 p.m. But the buses goes up to Paren from here you have to catch the Sawari jeeps coming from Malbazar and Chalsa. Jeeps are always available from Todey to Pala, Pumsi and Tangta on reserve basis which costs around Rs,500/- for Pala and Pumsi and Rs, 1500/- for Tangta.
